Barber, John Warner:
Biography:
(1798-1885) Connecticut artist/engraver, topographical draftsman.
Works at Conn. Hist. Soc. Started his own engraving business in 1823
and traveled extensively on the east coast gathering information for his
multiple books and engravings, including Provincetown. Listed in Who was
Who in American Art, 1975 edition.
