Sandor Bernath  (1892 - 1984) 
New York/Eastport artist.  Studied with Edward Hopper.  Memberships include Brooklyn Society of Modern Artists, NYWCC and AWCS.  Exhibited at Mrs. Malcolm's Gallery (East 64th Street, New York) in 1922 (solo), Brooklyn Society of Modern Artists, Brooklyn Museum, Whitney Museum, the Art Institute, Chicago from 1923 until 1925 and again in 1927.  Also at WMAA from 1923 until 1926.  Works in the permanent collection of Brooklyn Museum.  Known for his watercolors of sailing yachts, he is listed in Who was Who in American Art, 1975 edition.
