Artist:
Fredricks, George
Biography:
(born 1943) Attended art school
briefly, but then served his country in the US Army. In addition to paintings
he created based on the sights he took in, George painted lighthouses and tall
ships, the latter being his favorite subject matter. His love of tall
ships is captured by his meticulous attention to detail, particularly where the
ships' riggings are concerned. In 2007, he was commissioned to do a 24" x 36"
painting of a battle on the high seas between the French and British Navies.
