John Henry Hill: (1839-1922) Studied with his father, John William Hill. Member of ANA, 1859. Exhibited at NAD (1856-1891), Brooklyn AA (1866-1885), PAFA in 1881, Boston AC in 1882, and 1891, AIC in 1899. Works at NYPL, Adirondack Mus., Blue Lake, NY. Considered one of the major American still life artist of the second half of the 19th century. Also an accomplished landscape painter. Well listed in Who was Who in American Art, 1975 edition.
