	Lot 8.1 John C. Hare:  (1909 - 1978)  Well known Provincetown, Gloucester  and St. Augustine.  Known as the dean of watercolorist on Cape Cod, his works have lately become highly coveted.  He had exhibited at one time with the Munson Gallery.  Resided in 1939 in St. Augustine and was one of the Art Club members. Member of Salmagundi Club, PAAM, Grand Central Art Gallery, Boston Guild of Artists.  Exhibits include: PAFA (1929-30, 1932), NAD (1930-Hallgarten prize), Corcoran Gallery biennials 1928-37 (5 exhibits), AIC, PAAM, Mint. Mus. Art, Jordan Marsh, Boston, Evanston AA, Oklahoma AA.  Works at Chrysler Collection, Harvard Club, NY, Oklahoma Museum, Mint. Mus.
