It was a great success except that we realized that even though we do not know the lot order of the "Wet Art" until a few hours before the auction, we will next time, photograph and record the selling prices. Mentor was Remo Farruggio, recent PAAM auction yielded a new record price. 10 Ruth Resnik: Painted with Mayo's
(Cecil, Ethel) in Provincetown but other than that knowledge being offered by
the consignor, nothing else, after diligently searching all avenues of
information yielded additional information on this artist. Great painting

(1889-1979) Spent time in
Provincetown circa 1940's or 50's and made some lovely prints which she often
hand-colored, quite extensively. Known for her historic house etchings
also. Very involved in the St. Petersburg, Florida art scene. 14 Erna Partoll: (b.1932)
Represented by the Berta Walker Gallery (since 1996). Studied in college
in Switzerland and also in London, Paris, Montreal and Toronto. Came to US
in 1960 (NY) attending ASL (Theodoros Stamos, Will Barnet and Howard Trafton).
Also at New School of Social Research. Year-round Provincetown painter
since 1970. Received a fellowship with Paul Resika (FAWC, 1995).

PIAI, FAWC and Castle Hill. Shows include Boston MFA (also in permanent
collection), PAAM, and photography in front of Whaler's Wharf,

Center, Minn., Birmingham Museum of Art and others. Awards include

by the Kiley Court Gallery, extremely collectible artist of Provincetown

He came to Provincetown to paint and has made his living on it ever since.
Extremely talented palette and brush, his landscape and still-lifes are truly
spectacular. The Welcome to Provincetown sign on Route 6 at the entrance
to Provincetown has been kept alive by the hand of Frank Milby. 15A Lucy L'Engle: (1889

- 1970) Extremely popular early illustrator and artist, over 20

Known for his landscape-urban-coastal and still-lifes. Self-taught

Davenport's. 28 Wyland: Extremely
famous Artist with 81 monumental marine life paintings. Along with a
string of galleries, shirts, posters, and other paraphernalia. He
has bee called the "Michelangelo" of the Marine painting genre
and the United Nations proclaims Wyland the official Artist for the International
Year of the Ocean, 1998. 29 Charles Tersolo: (b.1974) Studied at Univ. of NH (BA under
McCar/Meyer).

Born in Palermo, Sicily. He was one of only 2 WPA/ FAP Artists given solo

in American Art, countless museums worldwide, collections private and
public, shows included famed Corcoran Gallery 1957, awards, world famous
and recognized artist. 31 William H. Bicknell: (1860
- 1947) Known for his landscapes and etchings. Studied under
Frederic Crowninshield, BMFA School, member of Copley Society, Chicago SE,
