Artist: Edel, Albert
Biography: (1890 - 1961) Strong affiliation with Provincetown and
Massachusetts. Exhibited at PAAM and is in their permanent collection.
Often known for his marine renderings. As time has passed with each
auction, I have been able to gather more information about him. He had a
gallery name the Edel Gallery in Provincetown in the 1960's. Was a
predominant etcher. Each auction, the prices are going up.

Biography: Represented by the Kiley Court Gallery, extremely collectible
artist of Provincetown and extremely well listed. Long term member of
Beachcomber's. He came to Provincetown to paint and has made his living
on it ever since. Extremely talented palette and brush, his landscape
and still-lifes are truly spectacular. The Welcome to Provincetown sign
on Route 6 at the entrance to Provincetown has been kept alive by the
hand of Frank Milby.

Augustine. Known as the dean of watercolorist on Cape Cod, his works

Club members. He had an incredible gift of painting water/shore scapes.

other magazines and newspapers. She received a Diploma from the Museum
School (’78) and a BFA from the Museum School/Tufts University (’79).
She has won numerous awards from institutions such as the National
Endowment for the Arts and the Massachusetts Artists Foundation. Public

Santa Cruz, CA (’02); Paine Park Mural, Cambridge Arts Council,

Biography: Studied at Vesper George School of Art, Boston, Ma., with
Robert D. Hunter, Boston, Ma; R. H. Ives Gammell Atelier, Everett R.
Kinstler and Richard L. Seyffert, Art Students League, NYC; with Jose
DeCreeft, NY; eight summers (one year straight through the following
summer) with Henry Hensche, Cape Cod School of Art. Also with Tom Lovell
and Cleve Woodward (incidentally Mr. Woodward was the portrait/figure
monitor for Charles W. Hawthorne’s summer classes at the Cape Cod School
of Art. Also with Cedric and Joanette Egeli of Edgewater, Maryland. For
the last two years he has participated in the January portrait workshop
for advanced studies, held in Maryland, and has also participated in a
two week summer course for outdoor portrait/figure classes offered at
Cape Cod. Memberships include: National Arts Club of New York City,
Pastel Society of America, Society of American Impressionists, the Art
Students League of N.Y., and the International Society of Marine
Painters. The artist founded American Art Productions to expand an
understanding of color as the essential element of impressionist
painting. Countless exhibitions and collections include: Dr. Cornelius
Vermeule, Curator of Classical Painting and Museum Curator at Boston’s
Museum of Fine Arts. Since then other commissions have followed and his
painting are now included in corporations, public institutions, and
private collections both in the U.S. and abroad.

Biography: (b.1916) Represented by the Lyman-Erer Gallery, Provincetown.
Studied under Helen Van Wyck, Robert Natkin and Stephen Lo Monaco among
others. Extremely prolific artist of many mediums. Among the highlights
of an extensive art career in the abstracts, was a solo retrospective at
Cape Museum of Fine Arts in Dennis and PAAM in 2002. Was represented by
the Al Davis Gallery, Wellfleet. Collections include Boston Corporate,
Boston Stock Exchange. MGM Studios. Another highlight of this prolific
artist is the inclusion of her paintings in a recent film shot in
Boston.
