April 3, 2004 Auction Results. *Special note: This auction consisted of many partial estates. Several of the items listed below that have low price results is due to the fact that the artwork had little or no relevance to Provincetown or Cape Cod. Early and contemporary artwork of or by early and/or contemporary artists of this area will yield top dollar in auctions, so if you are looking at the results to decide whether to consign your prized collection (we accept 1 to 100 or more) then do not use these results as a guiding factor. Also, we have up until now been accepting most everything that has come our way but that is now changing. We will now be imposing a minimum of $25.00 per lot fee to a consignor as a means of eliminating the lesser quality art that does not belong in these auctions. Our discerning buyers expect our auctions to be filled with the quality art that one would expect in an auction and we are committed to providing that to them. Your quality artwork will bring in top dollar in our auctions if they fit in the parameters of our market. If you are not sure, then please feel free to contact us at 508.487.7281 or ptownauction@aol.com. We offer free appraisals for auction purposes, quick payback, low consignor fees, low buyers premiums and a large following of dedicated art collectors to garner you the most money for your artwork. 1 Lois Griffel: Represented
